I am so delighted to have received press credentials for TCM Classic Film Festival 2014. Each day of the festival I will share news and photos here at Classic Movies and on Twitter at @classicmovieblg. It's going to be fun!

Special guests include Jerry Lewis, who will receive a special tribute and cement his foot and hand prints at the onetime Grauman's Chinese Theater. Also making appearances: Mel Brooks, Richard Dreyfuss, Maureen O'Hara, Margaret O'Brien and Quincy Jones. I can't wait to share my experiences with you.

Edgar G. Ulmer, a director most famous for the bleak noir Detour (1945), fascinates me, because he's always seemed so mysterious. I'm glad to see there is now a biography of his life--Movie Crazy/Leonard Maltin

This is and interesting post about the sad story of Vivien Kubrick and her father. The photos are both heartwarming and haunting when you learn what happened to them--Dangerous Minds

It always drives me crazy to read about promising films that were planned, but never made. It's fun to imagine what could have been though--Movie Morlocks/TCM

How did I never notice that Rochelle Hudson was Natalie Woods' mother in Rebel Without a Cause (1955)? This is an interesting tribute to an actress who lived a short, but eventful life--Let's Misbehave: A Tribute to Pre-code Hollywood

  1. Thanks! I'm surprised you and and Katie haven't been to this. It seems like the sort of thing you two would love!
