Though the angel-faced actress Toby Wing is certainly familiar to me as a fan of pre-code movies, I've never given her much thought. It was fascinating to read about her in this profile which compares her to the media celebrities of today--Movie Morlocks/TCM

This lovely post about seeing Maureen O'Hara at TCM Film Festival 2014 brings back lots of wonderful memories. I still can't believe how lucky I was to be in the audience that day--Comet Over Hollywood

It makes me a little sad that Sam's piano from Casablanca (1942) is up for auction. I think that particular piece of memorabilia should be in a museum. Hopefully someday it will end up in one--

I didn't realize fans gathered below Doris Day's home every year to wish her happy birthday. She even talks to them via cell phone. This is a fun slideshow-style video of her birthday celebration this year, including a photo of the fans by her house. I think all of these photos have been widely circulated by now, but I never get tired of them. I had to turn down the music though...
